Proud of the past with an eye to the future: from 16 to 20 October 2024, Italy will be the Guest of Honour at the International Frankfurt Book Fair. The last time this was the case was in 1988. At that time, being the guest country represented the culmination of a golden era in Italian literature.
Looking back on its glorious past, but equally determined to always look forward, Italy is once again preparing to become a host country, with a motto that represents the secret of its success: “Roots in the future”.
Our author Patrizia Rinaldi was invited as a guest to represent the Italian children’s literature: at 10.00 on 17 October the appointment is with “Reading makes grow” in the Arena of the Italian Pavilion.
